1 Day Text Link Ad = $10,000
Advertising on wordpress.org would be pretty cool...but not $10,000 for 1 day cool.
In terms of search benefits I can't see 1 day doing anything for you.
In terms of basic marketing principles anyone with 1/2 a clue will realize this is a poor method to attract visitors. I'd lay down 10K on a bet that anyone with a few weeks of Adwords experience could attract 10X the amount of traffic you would get from a 1 day link on wordpress.org for a fraction of the price.
if anyone has a model that shows you could justify a 10K spend for 1 day I would LOVE to see it.

I found this web site that pays me $125 for attending a 90 minute vacation presentation. I signed up for two of these presentations and I figure this is going to pay for my gasoline on my upcoming vacation. Not bad, free money for listening and I do not have to buy anything.
Can't see how that has anything to do with this post...but whatever floats your boat I suppose...
