Google Instant Messenger Coming Wednesday?

While making the Monday morning rounds I came across an entry over at Threadwatch that talks about the possibility of a Google Instant Messenger appearing coming this Wednesday. Check it out - it's just speculation at this point but still worth looking into.

I've used the MSN messenger for a number of years...partly out of habit and partly because it's the instant messenger client a lot of my contacts use. I'm also a former hotmail user (for my throw away account) but made the switch to G-mail when I realized how much better it is than Hotmail. I assume a Google IM app would be superior to MSN's offering as well.
