White hat now in the cesspool?

I've been following an interesting thread over at the Search Engine Watch forums. The title of this entry is pretty descriptive of the topic at hand - white hat/black hat....what's working.

Read the thread for yourself, it's worth it. There's a line posted by messa that I thought was dead on:
